The House of Ganges was launched in the spring of 2018 to offer personalised non-leather handbags and accessories, locally and globally, to the trend-conscious at affordable prices.
Based in Kolkata, we design and make everyday bags, wallets and accessories in cruelty-free PU leather, soft jute and handloom, with a focus on thoughtful design, useful details and lasting style. Almost every piece can carry your initials, free.

We value considered design and the people whose skills bring it to life. We want to make products our team is proud to create and customers are happy to use again and again.
Every bag is made by our own craftspeople in Kolkata. They are the people behind every stitch, and the reason every piece leaves our workshop with care.
How we make them
Craftsmanship
Design, development and production sit side by side at our Kolkata workshop. Our team works on every collection with close attention to construction, stitching, finishing and everyday use. Initials are embossed by hand using our brass letter stamps.
Because most pieces are made after you order, we can make the exact style and colour you choose, personalise it and dispatch it within 3–4 days.

Riya & Ricky Osatwal
With a strong sense of design and a passion for innovation, Riya and Ricky Osatwal founded The House of Ganges in the spring of 2018.
The creative duo’s shared vision for THOG grew from a love for fashion and functional minimalism. Their experience across international business management and graphic design forms the backbone of The House of Ganges.
It has been a beautiful journey so far, and we feel blessed by the overwhelming support of our local, national and international community. We are excited for you to be part of our story.
